Description

Fireking Lateral Filing Cabinets provide the maximum amount of filing capacity in a relatively small amount of space. Capable of storing many more documents than a similarly sized vertical cabinet, lateral fire files are ideal in offices with large amounts of paperwork and limited space. Files can be arranged front to back or left to right, making it easy to locate particular documents.

Tested and certified by the Underwriters Laboratory of America, Fireking Lateral Filing Cabinets provide 1 hour of protection for papers, even in temperatures as high as 1000° C. A gypsum-based fire retardant material cocoons each drawer individually. If one drawer is left open, documents in other drawers will still be protected.

These filing cabinets have also been impact tested, which involves dropping the cabinet from a height of 9.1 metres to assess its ability to handle a floor collapse, a common occurrence during intense building fires. Lastly, these cabinets are also tested for their ability to resist rapid, explosive heating, which can cause inferior cabinets to buckle or crack.

A single key lock secures all drawers and can be configured to allow each drawer to be locked and unlocked individually. An A4 filing frame is included for each drawer. All cabinets are finished in a scratch resistant light-grey powder coat which blends easily into any office environment.
