Description

Fireking Filing Cabinets are renowned for the quality of their construction and the level of protection they provide for documents. Built to last, they feature a gypsum barrier material that provides up to 1 hour of fire resistance. Each drawer is insulated separately, so once a drawer is closed, it provides a full level of protection even if other drawers are accidentally left open.

Fireking 2 hour Filing Cabinets are tested and certified by the Underwriters Laboratory according to the UL 72 Class 350 standard. During this test, cabinets are subjected to temperatures well in excess of 1000° Celsius for 120 minutes. In order to pass the test, the internal temperature of the cabinet must not exceed 177° C, the temperature at which paper will begin to char or degrade.

Cabinets are also tested for their ability to withstand a drop/impact of 9.1 metres, as well as their ability to withstand sudden, explosive heating, which can cause less robust filing cabinets to buckle or rupture.

A single key lock is fitted as standard to each cabinet. This can be used to open or lock any combination of drawers at once. Each drawer can store either A4 or legal documents. An A4 frame is included as standard. All cabinets are finished in a scratch resistant light-grey powder coat which blends easily into any office environment.
