The Phoenix FS1900 Fire Commander range offers a very high level of protection from fire, making it ideal for storing important office documents. The cabinet is so robust, it can even be used to store small amounts of cash overnight (suggested cash rating €4,000).
Certified to the NT FIRE 017 standard, the FS1900 offers 2 hours of fire resistance for papers, even in temperatures exceeding 1,000 degrees Celsius. During further testing, the unit was found to be capable of protecting documents for up to 3 hours in a furnace heated to 1,122 degrees.
The FS1900 has also been subjected to an impact test, which involves dropping the furnace from a height of 9.1 metres. This simulates a floor/building collapse, which can easily happen in an extreme fire. The cabinet is robustly designed and constructed so as not to breach even in such circumstances.
For security, the cabinet is secured by either a high security key lock or electronic lock. The electronic lock features an alarm, dual control, hidden code and scrambled code for the utmost protection.
Inside, all units are fitted with adjustable shelving and a lockable full length drawer unit. The Fire Commander offers a vast amount of storage space for documents, with the largest unit offering a capacity of 699 litres.
An optional data protection insert is also available, allowing fragile digital media with low heat tolerances to be stored in the unit, meaning the Fire Commander can be used not just for your paper documents but for your digital files as well.
