The NT FIRE 017 test originates in Scandinavia and is one of the most renowned fire resistance standards in the industry. Safes and cabinets can be rated as suitable for Paper, Data or Diskettes and can provide 60, 90 or 120 minutes protection. During the NT FIRE 017 test, safes are subjected to temperatures in excess of 1000° C. Safes rated for Data are suitable for most computer and digital media such as CDs, DVDs and hard drives.
